Take this gear list seriously. If you arrive for an AAS trip without the proper clothing and other gear and have not made prior arrangements with us for such, this is considered a cancellation by you and no refunds will be issued.
Due to the wet nature of the Aleutians and sea kayaking in general, materials such as cotton and goose down are not permitted as they lose all insulating value when wet.
No blue jeans or other cotton canvas pants. No down jackets, vests, or sleeping bags.
Cotton long underwear tops or bottoms are also not permitted. Synthetics such as Capilene, polypro, etc. are the best for keeping you dry and comfortable. You will be provided with a list of necessary gear for any trip that you book.
